This 8 week class introduces you to White Pines's approach to improv. Level 1 is for anyone who wants to learn the basics of improvisation and gain foundational skills in the development authentic improvised scene work, ensemble connection, and the concept of “Yes, And!”
No experience required - but a willingness to play and challenge yourself is encouraged!
This 8 week class is for anyone who has studied improv with White Pines before, or has previous improv experience. Our focus will be on scene work, and learning a form we will share at the end of class. Along the way we will examine the differences between short and long form improv, learning various performance techniques, and getting acquainted with our own individual relationships to improv!
Acting Out is open to all youth and young adults with ASD, Aspergers, or any Physical or Developmental Disability. This class introduces basics of acting and collaboration in a safe and structured environment. Students will engage in an opening ritual at the beginning of each class and will gradually be introduced to games and activities over the course of the class semester. The final class will feature a share for family and friends based on the comfort level of students.
